Class Mother

CLASS MOTHER, a full-length play, was performed as a workshop at the Winterfest Theater Festival, March 4-8, 2016 at the Hudson Guild Theater in NYC, where it was nominated for best play, best director (Alex Keegan), and best actor (Carson Lee). Cast also included Nancy Nagrant, Nina Covalesky, and Ryan Lee. Scenes from CLASS MOTHER were also developed at Naked Angels Tuesdays at 9 and Ensemble Studio Theatre's First Brew. 

What exactly did the kids see on the internet? When Cindy spreads rumors about Eva’s bad parenting, Eva retaliates on her world-­famous blog, enraging both of their husbands. Shining a spotlight on the supposed “mommy wars,” this sharply funny drama looks at how power, class, and the draw of the internet collide on one expensive white sofa.

Say It Out Loud

SAY IT OUT LOUD, a full-length play, was a Finalist for the 2018 New Works Festival at Kitchen Dog Theater in Dallas, Texas. The play was featured at The Bechdel Group's New Play Development Reading Series at the Drama League, 9.25.17. (Check out this interview.) Scenes from the play were read at The PlayGround Experiment, 10.10.16 and 8.8.16, and InViolet Theater's Second Monday Social, 5.9.16 and 12.12.16. A developmental reading took place at Art/NY on December 9, 2016, with a cast of Anne Newhall, John Tillotson, Nancy Nagrant, Paul Pakler, Dani Hanks, and Stacey Raymond.

​Judy Gold, professor and feminist icon, has assembled the family for a feast in honor of her husband, renowned food writer Howard Koppelman, on the occasion of his 60th birthday. Their children, Jonathan and Michelle, clash until the arrival of the youngest, the devout Devora, formerly Debbie, putting the limits of love and loyalty on the chopping block.

Wine and Water

WINE AND WATER was featured at Athena Theatre's Athena Writes Year-End Staged Reading at the Episcopal Actors' Guild on December 7, 2017, directed by Dina Vovsi, and at InViolet Theater's Second Monday Social,  on 6.12.17.

Bethany Speaking

BETHANY SPEAKING was performed on September 22-24, 2016 at Forward Theater Company's Monologue Festival, Someone's Gotta Do It. Performed by Stephanie Frank and directed by Suzan Kurry.

​Bethany, a well-read former-English-major, now-receptionist, ponders the roads not taken. There are many. Or are there?

"New here. Still adjusting to the rhythm of the days. I get in at 9:30, give or take five minutes, depending on the R train. I swipe my ID, walk through the mechanical gates, and get in the elevator. I am deposited on the twenty-second floor, where I tap my ID card to unlock a pair of glass doors. I proceed to my assigned place, and sit."

THE BLUEST SKY was performed on May 15, 2017 at Athena Theatre's A New Memory: An Evening of Ten-Minute Plays at Symphony Space in NYC, directed by Noa Egozi.
